Donations to SAR
This picture is of Malinda Persic. Ms. Persic was one of the founding members of SAR back when we were known as the Sacramento Association for Retarded Children way back in 1950! At the time of her passing last week, she was 100 years old! Graciously, her family has asked to send donations to SAR in lieu of flowers. We, at SAR, want to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation for such a generous and heartfelt gesture.
Service Advocacy Respect for persons with MR/DD is a registered
501 c (3) nonprofit organization. As such, donations to
SAR are tax deductible. The main means by which the public
may contribute the the work of SAR are;
Household Recycling Program.
The majority of SAR's funding comes from our household recycling
program. We depend greatly on household donations such as
clothing, furniture, books, toys, and other usable household
items. Through this donation program we are able to raise
the vital funds needed to continue to provide the opportunities
and services for people with mental retardation and their
families.
We provide

donation is tax deductible and will help SAR provide valuable services
to people with mental retardation and their families in the greater Sacramento

SAR's vehicle donation program has a new toll-free
answering service which operates extended hours, weekends and holidays.
All calls will be answered between the hours of 4:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
