Donations to SAR
Sacramento Association for the Retarded is a registered
501 c (3) nonprofit organization. As such, donations to
SAR are tax deductible. The main means by which the public
may contribute the the work of SAR are;
Household Recycling Program.
The majority of SAR's funding comes from our household recycling
program. We depend greatly on household donations such as
clothing, furniture, books, toys, and other usable household
items. Through this donation program we are able to raise
the vital funds needed to continue to provide the opportunities
and services for people with mental retardation and their
families.
We provide
FREE household donation pick-up of usable clothing or household

Support
from the private sector in the form of
direct financial contributions and bequests also greatly
benefits the maintenance of SAR's services.
