Jacob is currently Board President, and serves as co-conservator of his sister Rebecca, born in November, 1967, who has autism spectrum disorder, severe mental retardation and behavioral challenges.  Jacob has been a Special Education Teacher at the Masters Level for more than fifteen years, and presently teaches for the Elk Grove Unified School District in their Independent Living Skills Program at Irene B. West Elementary School.
